Of course, they have their moments; sometimes I feel they are insensitive to a lot of private things. So there are some parts of it which are wonderful because more accountability and transparency has come into the system. But sometimes I feel it’s intrusive, sometimes you are having lunch with your family and your children or your spouse may not be interested in being photographed. Sometimes, I feel it can be invasive.But, I don't blame it on media, I blame it on technology.Q: What is your view on media coverage of women politician?Supriya Sule: I think its gender-equal thing. So, there is nothing different about a man or a woman. I don’t think I am a woman politician, I just think I am a politician. I am very gender-equal about all this.So, I can’t expect that we should get something different, not at all. It’s a gender-equal game. When I started as a member of parliament, it’s not because I am a woman, because I am a human being. I don’t think that way. I don't think it’s a gender issue.Why there should be something special for women, I think we should be equal. If it’s an MP, it’s an MP. There is no man or woman; both do an equal representation of voters. It’s not that I represent women more than men or men represent men more than women. There is no such thing.Q: What’s your opinion on your media coverage during election campaigning period and after you were elected?Supriya Sule: It’s part of the game. Politics is called public life. So, you are bound to be used to it. You can’t hide; it is a high profile job. May 30, 2018 बंद शाळेवर राजकीय ‘ट्युशन’ काय कामाचीविठ्ठल जाधव, पुणेराज्यातील तेराशे शाळा बंद करण्याच्या निर्णयानंतरचे आता दुसरे वर्ष सुरू होत आहे. एक कि. मी. परिक्षेत्रात दुसरी शाळा असणाऱ्या ५६८ शाळांची घंटा गतवर्षी बंद झाली. या शाळा बंद करताना त्याला समायोजन हा सरकारी शब्द देण्यात आला. उर्वरित ५४१ शाळेतील विद्यार्थ्यांची वाहन व्यवस्था केली, तरच त्या समायोजित होऊ शकतात, असे सांगून शासनाने त्याचा निर्णय तूर्त थांबविण्याचे शिक्षणमंत्री विनोद तावडे यांनी विधी मंडळात सांगितले होते. प्रत्यक्षात १ कि. मी. अंतरापुढील शाळादेखील बंद केल्या गेल्या; परंतु त्या मुलांची पर्यायी व्यवस्था केली गेली नाही अथवा शासनाकडून वाहन व्यवस्थेचा कोणाताही निर्णय न झाल्याने दुर्गम वाड्या-वस्त्यांवरील बंद शाळांमधील विद्यार्थ्यांचे काय झाले? याचा शोध घेण्याची गरज असताना सध्या राज्यात बंद शाळा आणि राजकीयवरच ‘ट्युशन’ चर्चा रंगत आहे.एक किलो मीटरपेक्षा जादा अंतरातील शाळा बंद केल्याचा आरोप खासदार सुप्रिया सुळे यांनी केला; तेव्हा शिक्षणमंत्री विनोद तावडे यांनी सुळे खोटं बोलत आहेत. त्यांच्या अपचारामुळे बहुजन समाजातील मुले वंचित राहतील. त्यांचा डाव सरकार हाणून पाडील, असे वक्तव्य करून तावडे यांनी खरे तर मूळ विषयाला बगल दिली. या निर्णयातील एक वर्षानंतर समोर आलेले चित्र बघता एक कि. मी. परिक्षेत्रात शाळा नसताना दीड ते दोन कि.मी. अंतरावरील शाळाही बंद केल्याचे समोर आले आहे. याबद्दल खरेतर तावडे यांनी स्पष्ट भूमिका मांडायला हवी; परंतु विषयांतर करून उत्तर देण्यात पटाईत असणाऱ्या तावडे यांनी राजकीय वळण दिले. त्यावर खासदार सुळे यांनी त्यांचे म्हणणे मांडताना सोबत माजी शिक्षण संचालक वसंत काळपांडे यांना आणले होते. बोलण्याच्या ओघात सुळे यांनी काळपांडेकडे ‘ट्युशन’ लावावी असा टोला लगावला. त्याला मात्र, तावडे यांनी अवघ्या तासाभरात उत्तर देत मला बारामतीच्या ट्युशनची गरज नाही. तेथे धरणातल्या भ्रष्टाचाराने पाणी कसे आणायचे हे शिकवले जाते, अशी प्रतिक्रिया दिली. शिक्षक संघटनांनी या निर्णयाला विरोध केला; तेव्हा तावडे यांनी मी शिक्षकमंत्री नाही, तर शिक्षणमंत्री आहे असे सांगून मूळ विषय टाळला होता.शाळा बंद करण्याच्या धोरणाबद्दल मंत्री आणि सचिव या दोन्ही पातळीवर एक वाक्यता नसल्याने काही निर्णय चांगले असले, तरी ते वादाचे ठरतात. राज्यातील ८० हजार शाळा टप्प्याटप्प्याने बंद करणार असे सचिव नंदकुमार म्हणाले, नंतर त्यांनी माघार घेतली. शाळा बंद निर्णय असो की शिक्षकांच्या बदलांचे धोरण. याबद्दल शिक्षक किंवा कोणी व्यक्तीने प्रतिक्रिया दिली, तर ती सहन होत नसल्याचे दिसते. शिक्षकांना तर सोशल मीडियावर प्रतिक्रिया देण्यास प्रतिबंध घातला गेला. तिखट प्रतिक्रिया देणारे २० ते २५ शिक्षक निलंबित झाले. ४० पेक्षा अधिक शिक्षकांना शोकॉज नोटीस देण्यात आल्या म्हणजे सरकारचे निर्णय लादले जातात. दुसरी बाजू ऐकूनच घेतली जात नाही. मंत्री आणि सचिवांचे हे धोरण असेल, तर खालची शिक्षण खात्याची यंत्रणा कशी असेल याचा फक्त विचारच केलेला बरा.राज्य सरकारच्या निर्णयानंतर १ कि. मी. पुढील शाळा बंद केल्या गेल्या ही वस्तुस्थिती आहे. निर्णयात नेमकी स्पष्टता नसल्याने यंत्रणेतही गोंधळ उडाला आहे. शिक्षण हक्क कायदा तथा आरटीईनुसार विद्यार्थ्यांचे घर ते शाळा हे अंतर मोजण्यात येते प्रत्यक्षात शाळा बंद करताना शाळा ते दुसरी शाळा हे अंतर मोजले गेले. यामध्ये आरटीईचा भंग झाला नाही का? शिक्षण विभागाने पुणे जिल्ह्यात ज्या शाळांना ‘अ’ दर्जा दिला. त्यातील ८ शाळा या नियमाने बंद झाल्या. याचा अर्थ निर्णयात त्रुटी आहेत. या निर्णयात सकारात्मक गोष्टीदेखील आहेत.८ ते १० मुलांची शाळा आणि ही मुले १०० ते १२५ विद्यार्थ्यांच्या शाळेत येऊन शिकणे यामध्ये फरक आहे. मोठ्या शाळेत त्यांना पायाभूत शैक्षणिक सुविधा, खेळ आणि शैक्षणिक वातावरण मिळणार. सहशिक्षणाचा फायदा होणार आहे; परंतु दुर्गम किंवा वाडी-वस्तीवरील या मुलांना मोठ्या शाळेत जाण्याची सोय न करता अथवा जबाबदारी न घेता शाळा बंद करून त्यांचे समायोजन होत असेल, तर सरकारला त्यात नेमके कोणते हशील आहेत, अशा वेळी सरकारकडून नेमकी स्पष्टता हवी. निर्णय घेतला म्हणून ते राबवायचा किंवा लादायचा हे धोरण ठेवणे गैर आहे.सरकारी किंवा जिल्हा परिषद शाळांमधील विद्यार्थी संख्या तथा पटाची घसरण थांबवून आता विद्यार्थी संख्या वाढू लागली आहे. सेमी इंग्रजी, ई-लर्निंगसारखे शिक्षण जि. प. शाळांमधूनही मिळू लागले परिणामी खासगी इंग्रजी शाळा त्यांचा खर्च आणि फी परवडत नसल्याने आणि त्याच दर्जाचे शिक्षण सरकारी शाळांमध्ये मिळण्याचा भरोसा पालकांमध्ये येऊ लागल्याने सरकारी शाळांकडे ओढा वाढतो आहे, अशा वेळी शिक्षणाचा दर्जा आणि सरकारी शाळांची बदनामी तरी होणार नाही याची खबरदारी नियंत्रण करणाऱ्या यंत्रणांनी घ्यायला हवी. बंद शाळांच्या निर्णयावर होणारी टोलेबाजी गांभीर्य घालवणारी आहे.http://www.saamana.com/decision-to-close-the-thirteenth-school-in-the-state/

TIMES NEWS NETWORK TIMES NEWS NETWORKPune:Baramati MP Supriya Sule on Monday said the NCP would intensify its protest against the state government’s “arbitrary decision” of closing down Zilla Parishad schools, which have fewer students, in remote areas. “The government has arrived at a figure that in the first phase, 1,300 schools must be closed. We have been asking how has it arrived at the figure? Whose report was it and who were the people involved? Instead of replying to relevant questions, education minister Vinod Tawde is calling us names. We have facts and figures which prove that some schools were closed despite there being no another school within a distance of 1km,” said Sule while addressing a news conference here. In the Budget session of the legislature, Tawde had said 5,600 schools have less than 10 students. In 1,312 cases, there are other schools within a distance of 1km . Out of this, 568 schools have been merged, transport facility has been provided for students in 541 schools. In 383 schools, the headmaster and extension officer haven’t raised any issues regarding closure. Sule also mentioned about the ‘Long Road to Education’ series in TOIwhich highlighted the problems the students would face if the schools are closed. Sule also gave examples of schools under Pune district that were closed despite the nearest school being more than 2km away. “Schools in Pawarvasti (Indapur), Bagalphata, Velhavale(Khed), Shastabad (Shirur) and Bhillavasti were closed down or merged but the nearest schools in these villages are 2km, 2.5km, 2.8km, 1.7km and 1.9 km, respectively, away. Does the government expect students to walk for almost 6km to school?” Sule asked. Reacting to Sule’s comments, Tawde, via social media, said, “In Baramati’s tuitions, ‘dada’ and ‘tai’ teach how to get water from illegal dams. I don’t want Pawar school, our SSC board is good. Maharashtra Times | Updated: May 29, 2018, 03:26AM ISTम. टा. प्रतिनिधी, पुणे विद्यार्थ्यांना 'चाचा चौधरी आणि मोदी'चे धडे बालभारतीच्या पाठ्यपुस्तकातून भारतीय जनता पक्षाचा राजकीय संदेश दिल्यानंतर आता सर्व शिक्षा अभियानातून जिल्हा परिषदेच्या प्राथामिक विभागाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना अवांतर वाचनासाठी चक्क 'चाचा चौधरी आणि मोदी' असे पुस्तक देण्यात आले आहेत. या पुस्तकातून केंद्र सरकारच्या महत्त्वाकांक्षी योजना आणि पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदींची प्रतिमा विद्यार्थ्यांना सांगण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्यात आला आहे. या पुस्तकात मोदींचे गुणगान करण्यात आले आहे. दरम्यान, मोदींऐवजी संत गाडगे बाबा यांच्यासारख्या थोरपुरुषांचे महत्त्व सांगितले असते, तर बरे झाले असते, असा टोला खासदार सुप्रिया सुळे यांनी लगाविला. सुळे यांनी सोमवारी पत्रकार परिषदेत हे पुस्तक दाखविले. शाळांमध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांना अवांतर वाचनासाठी जिल्हा परिषदेच्या पुस्तकांचा सेट नुकताच मिळाला असून ती पुस्तके येत्या काळात विद्यार्थ्यांना देण्यात येणार आहे. सर्व शिक्षा अभियानातून विद्यार्थ्यांना अवांतर वाचनासाठी ६९ विषयांवर पुस्तके शाळांना पाठविण्यात आली आहेत. त्यापैकी 'चाचा चौधरी आणि मोदी' हे एक पुस्तक आहे. या पुस्तकाच्या मुखपृष्ठावर आणि मलपृष्ठावर मोदींचे मोठे छायाचित्र असून पुस्तकांमध्ये मोदी सरकारच्या महत्त्वाकांक्षी योजनांची माहिती एकप्रकारे जाहिरातींद्वारे सांगण्यात आली आहे. तसेच, या योजना रंजक पद्धतीने विद्यार्थ्यांच्या मनावर बिंबविण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्यात आला आहे. यामध्ये उघड्यावर शौच करू नये, परिसर स्वच्छ ठेवा, घरात शौचालये बनवा, स्वच्छता अभियान अशांची माहिती सांगितली आहे. या पुस्तकामध्ये चाचा चौधरींचे छायाचित्र लहान, तर मोदींचे छायाचित्र मोठे छापले असून विद्यार्थ्यांचे लक्ष छापील मजकूरांपेक्षा मोदींवर कसे जाईल, याची पुरेपुर काळजी घेतल्याचे ठळकपणे दिसून येते. या पुस्तकात प्रत्येकाच्या घरात गॅस सिलिंडर पोहोचविण्याची उज्ज्वला योजना, मुलींच्या शिक्षणासाठी मुली वाचवा, मुली शिकवा, नोटबंदीद्वारे काळा पैसा आणि गुन्हेगारी घडामोडींवर प्रतिबंध, डिजिटल इंडिया, वस्तू व सेवा कर (जीएसटी) अशा योजनांची माहिती दिली आहे. दरम्यान, या पुस्तकांद्वारे केंद्र सरकार आपल्या योजनांचे मार्केटिंग करीत असल्याचे जिल्हा परिषदेचे उपाध्यक्ष विवेक वळसे पाटील यांनी सांगितले. https://maharashtratimes.indiatimes.com/maharashtra/pune-news/chacha-chaudhary-books-for-student/articleshow/64359561.cms

ST Correspondent : NCP MP from Baramati continues opposition, points out how move flouts several RTE guidelinesPune: “Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule have never lied in their social and political journey so far, and more so, we have never brought politics into education,” said MP Supriya Sule while interacting with the media here on Monday.She was responding to an accusation by State Education Minister Vinod Tawde that people opposing the shutting down of 1,300 Zilla Parishad schools in the State are liars. Tawde was keen on the use of the word merger, and insisted that just the school buildings are being shut and schools will merge.Speaking about the issue, Sule said, “I am not against improving the quality of education in the State, which the government keeps saying is the reason behind the said ‘merger’ of schools. However, lack of proper study and planning will just end up deteriorating the system as there might be high number of dropouts.”She said the move breaks many provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act and added, “We are procuring data from various districts and data obtained by me about schools in Pune district and my constituency isn’t showing a good picture. According to the RTE Act, the distance from a child’s home to a school shouldn’t be more than 6 km. However, we have so many examples where the distance from the old school to the new one itself is more than 3 kms. We also have to consider cases of remote tribal villages.”She noted that the RTE Act states that a school cannot be shut down if the villagers there are against the closure. However, there are many examples where villages where schools are marked to be shut down are protesting against it.“In Pune district, 76 schools were marked to be shut down. Out of these 19 have been shut, or merged into other schools that are within a 1 km distance. However, 57 others haven’t yet been shut as students and villagers there want the schools to run.
