Reacting to the incident of gang-rape in Har-yana, Ms Sule said that Prime Minister Naren-dra Modi should break his silence over the issue.Ms Sule in her statement asked Mr Modi if laws that are meant to prevent atrocities against women were really being implemented. Three men in Haryana’s Mahend-ergarh district allegedly raped a 19-year-old student on Wednesday afternoon. “As a woman, I demand justice from the Prime Minister who spe-aks about ‘Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao’,” Ms Sule said in a statement.“There is nothing to show that what is said is being implemented. There are laws to prevent atrocities against women, but are these laws being implemented? Mr Modi should break his silence and respond,” added Ms Sule.Citing a Maharashtra government’s data, Mrs Sule said the number of missing girls in Maharashtra is around 3,000. “While a ruling party legislator openly talks about kidnapping women, the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is also the state home minister, keeps mum on the issue,” said Ms Sule referring to BJP MLA Ram Kadam’s “will kidnap the girl” remarks.  Meanwhile, the NCP has been aggressively campaigning against the failure of Union government on social networking sites for last few days. Using #JawabDo, Ms Sule and her party colleagues have been raising issues affecting people every day.http://www.asianage.com/metros/mumbai/160918/supriya-sule-slams-modi-govt-over-safety-of-women.html
