Dhayari,18th May 2023: In an effort to conserve water, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has made the decision to halt water supply to the entire city every Thursday. However, this move poses additional challenges for the suburbs, which already experience limited water supply during the day. Recognizing this issue, Member of Parliament Supriya Sule has advocated for the restoration of uninterrupted water supply to the newly included villages within the municipality.

MP Sule has addressed a letter to Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, expressing her concerns, and has taken to social media to amplify her message. The villages of Dhayari, Narhe, Nandoshi, and Sanasnagar, which have recently been incorporated into the Pune Municipal Corporation, currently receive a daily water supply. However, the civic body has announced its intention to suspend water supply on Thursdays. MP Sule emphasized in her tweet that this decision is distressing for the citizens.

 The affected villagers are already grappling with irregular water supply, and if it is further interrupted for one day every week, their hardships will increase significantly. MP Sule has therefore urged the Pune Municipal Corporation to reconsider its decision and ensure the continuation of water supply for the convenience and well-being of the residents in these villages.
