Nirmala Sitharaman assures to resolve NDA, villagers issue

Pune – Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman on Thursday assured Member of Parliament (MP) Supriya Sule to resolve various issues related to villages around the National Defense Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla.
Sule said that she discussed about local youths working in NDA and who have been issued order to vacate their quarters. “Pune Municipal Corporation, regarding compensatory land against land given to NDA by local inhabitants Regarding Construction of alternate access road outside NDA for four Wadis (villages). For removal of mandatory condition of No Objection Certificate, for building within territory of Pune Airport Station. Regarding the play ground in NDA adjacent to villages, for kids from the neighbourhood. For removal of security wall to facilitate running of Public transport vehicles. Seeking permission for religious function on land belonging to NDA. Seeking employment for local youths on priority basis in the (National) Defence Academy”, Sule said.
Also present during the meeting were local corporators Sachin Dodke, Shukracharya Wanjale, Suresh Gujar, Khushal Karanjawane, Pravin Shinde and Sachin Ghuge.
