Among the five reputed Krishi Vigyan Kendras (Farmers Science Centre) across the country, one of the famous Krishi Vigyan Kendra is at Baramati. Envisioned by Hon. Sharad Pawar saheb, the centre established in 1970s conducts research in agribusiness, entrepreneurship, changing climate, land, soil, water, fertilizers, seeds, traditional crops, leafy vegetables, etc. The research emphasizes on how modern technological advancements and can be brought to agricultural practices, that also captures the international attention. The concept of Agri-tourism erupted from this centre and today it has become a nationally recognised business opportunity all over the country. From the Prime Minister of the country to many other national and state level leaders, as well as scholars, agriculturists, academicians regularly visit the centre. The greatest achievement of the centre is when the vistors are inspired by the experiments being conducted at the centre and often express their aspirations to take back home learnings from them.

Located close to the Tamhini Ghat, historical records suggest that this 300 years old Dhangad Fort was majorly used as a prison and to keep a watch on the traders coming from Konkan. Records show that this was particularly true during the Maratha Empire, especially during the Peshwa period. After the complete collapse of the Maratha Empire in 1818, the nearby Korigad fort was lastly taken by the British followed by the Dhangad fort within a few days.

Temghar Dam is one of the four major dams that supply water to drought-prone areas of Pune city and district. Temghar Dam was constructed on Mutha River in Mulshi tehsil after the water storage in Khadakwasla, Panshet and Varasgaon Dams built post independence, began to decrease. Therefore, it is the most recently constructed and the youngest dam of all in Pune district. Since the dam is built in an area full of natural beauty, it attracts a lot of tourists. However, due to the leakage of water after its construction and subsequent repairs and reconstruction, this dam has been in the limelight in political arena for the past few years.

The palace of Pant Sachiv Dynasty, the one from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Ashta Pradhan Mandal (administrative and advisory council), still stands robust in the city of Bhor. The palace is said to be built about 150 years ago by the Britishers. After independence, a part of the palace was used for government offices like Tehsildar, Post etc. The structure has a very detailed work of wood & carved stones. Inside, there are meeting rooms, Padvi (porch), Tulsi Vrindavan, a main wooden door with carvings, Tashiv stone steps to enter the palace and a paving. It's a major attraction for tourists, historians and keen scholars.

Narayangaon, located at the base of Purandar Fort, has become a pilgrimage site for the past few years. The devotees of Narayan Maharaj from Pune district and other parts of the state visit the place. At the backside of Narayan Maharaj's Math, there is a beautiful stone-built Shiva temple. Exceptionally, the entitre temple is built using very large carved stones and no wood at all.
